Full Membership is reserved for those in possession of the South Atlantic Medal (1982). The subsidised fee, payable on joining, is £10. However, Full Members are encouraged to make a minimum £10 annual donation. Only Full Members have voting rights on issues connected with the affairs of SAMA (82).
Special Membership will be granted, on application (and without payment of any fees), to the next of kin of those who died in the South Atlantic Campaign. These first 258 Membership numbers are allocated - and sacrosanct.
Island Membership has been secured for all Falkland Islanders and will be granted on application.
Honorary Membership may be conferred by the SAMA (82) Trustees on any individual who has been of great assistance in the management of SAMA (82)'s affairs. It may also be conferred from time to time on distinguished individuals who had a particular influence on the conduct or outcome of the South Atlantic Campaign of 1982.
Associate Membership may be granted, on application, to those with a special affection for the Islands and/or commitment to SAMA (82)'s aims. There is a £10 fee payable on joining. However, Associate Members are encouraged to make a minimum £10 annual donation.
